In the north of the province of Cáceres, among holm oaks, cork oaks, olive trees and birds, is Lidenex (Ideal Resting Place in Extremadura), a beautiful farmhouse in a meadow located on the banks of the Pantano de Gabriel y Galán.

Discover the biodiversity of the meadow

Lidenex is located in an enclave special of the Natura 2000 Network, with a biodiversity that is typical of the dehesa: holm oak, cork oak, olive, ash, olive, cistus, lavender, thyme, strawberry tree and gall.

 

From where you can see Great cormorant, grey Heron, black Stork, griffon Vulture. Short-toed eagle, Milano real, montagu's Harrier, lesser Kestrel, stone curlew, common, common ringed Plover, Sandpiper, green, Cuckoo common, long-eared Owl, little Owl, european barn Owl, Nightjars, european Hoopoe, european bee-Eater, Pico picapinos, thekla lark, Cogujada joint, Plane, sand martin, red-rumped Swallow and many more birds.

Lidenex is a responsible tourism project, with minimal ecological footprint and in harmony with the environment.

In Lidenex, we are fully aware of the need to care for the environment and respect our environment. For this reason, we adopt measures that help to reduce the impact of our activity, through an installation of photovoltaic energy, ecological management of water and other natural resources.

Contribution to the local community

In addition, a portion of the income is intended to ensure the reforestation efforts made in the field.

For all this, our customers will add to this commitment, making a responsible use of water and energy, valuing the ecosystem of the dehesa and the local products and handicrafts of the region of the Valle del Ambroz.
